We’ve passed another milestone!
As we gathered our books during the final days of our senior year, could any of us have imagined a 35th reunion? I don't think so. In 1972, our futures were uncertain and our paths unclear. In a conversation about past reunions last evening, someone said that at the 10th, we were at the beginning of our careers and some were unsure whether our paths would impress our peers. At the 20th, we shared pictures of our children. Most of us had paid half of a mortgage by then and we were helping our children choose a college path. We were busy. It was at our 30th reunion that we discovered the importance of old friends. I know I did. That thought prompted the 35th reunion. We're headed toward retirement, our children have grown up, and we're able to focus on things we haven't had time to do. Thanks to all who attended. I hope many of you renewed friendships that will remain strong for years to come.
Some suggestions were made about uses for the BHS72 website. One idea was to set up a memorial page. We’ll need your help in gathering information, and we’ll start a new page with the information we have.
Someone else recommended having an easy way to contact one another through the site. I’m reluctant to post too much information, and suggest that all of you add a comment to the Guest Book. Using the Guest Book allows others to contact you without revealing your address. Another method is to send your questions through the Contact Us section. This will send an email to both Sherry and me. We’ll do our best to help you stay in touch.
There were several cameras at the reunion. Please share your pictures with us. I’ll post an Album for that purpose. Only a few people used the Classmates section of the website. If you’re willing, add your pictures and info to this section, too.
Several classmates have photos from the 10th, 20th and 30th reunions. If you’d like to share those, we can add additional pages in the album for those, as well.
